"One of the things that makes volunteering with school groups so interesting is that every time is different. We see different sights and every time a student will say something delightful! There is something lovely and unique about each trip!"
-Mary Sturtevant, PTSA Education Volunteer
Education program volunteers conduct or assist with environmental education programs and tours of the Arboretum.
No prior experience is required, just a love of the outdoors and an eagerness to share your knowledge of the natural world.
The Arboretum will provide training and you can select the level of involvement that is comfortable for you - anything from simply accompanying a group as a chaperone to leading the tour and conducting the educational activities.
Time commitments are flexible. School programs are generally held between 10 a.m. and noon, Monday - Friday during the months of May, June, September and October.
Interested? Fill out this form. You will not be committing yourself by doing so, but we will keep you informed of opportunities available in your area of interest.
