Rock Garden
The Rock Garden was originally established in 1983, when Marjorie Walsh, then owner of Day Star Nurseries, created a rock garden on a ledge. She provided a large selection of plants, and the collection continued to grow over the years.
Today, a team of Master Gardeners, in conjunction with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Program, manage the reclamation, maintenance, data collection, and educational program. The Rock Garden is a peaceful, inspirational place to visit, displaying a natural area of ledge with a collection of rock garden appropriate plants set on a hillside."
