A Few Words from the Board....

"My interests in PTSA are as varied as it's wonderful assets: beautiful rolling fields, winding trails through the woods, growths of historic native trees and shrubs as well as numerous species of birds and animals.  On one hand the Arboretum is a living museum, and on the other an exciting destination for hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing that brings it's many assets to life for people of all ages.  And its a place for education; for children to learn about the life around them and how they fit into the natural scheme.  The education center is a vital part of the PTSA experience. I appreciate my opportunity to serve on the Arboretum's Board and hope to help the Arboretum to continue to grow- figuratively and literally."  (David Auclair)

"I volunteer to serve on the PTSA Board because I enjoy walking the trails.  I want to offer assistance to the organization that provides a large green space in Augusta and serves my needs and those of hundreds of area residents in many ways." (Dean Corner)

"Most of the best times in my life have been spent with trees, whether I was just getting fresh air or a fresh perspective as well.  So I want to do as much as possible so that all of us can have more such wonderful experiences." (Susan Cottle)

"It has been an extremely rewarding and personally satisfying experience working with the dedicated Arboretum staff, Board of Directors and other Volunteers over the past 14 years.  Together we have created, and are now trying to preserve, a very special outdoor environment where a variety of activities can be experienced and enjoyed." (Bernie Slofer)
